The NATA District 2 EDAC is dedicated to improving the diversity and inclusion within the athletic training profession in District 2 states (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New York). The District 2 EDAC serves in an advisory role to the District 2 Executive Council, with the goal of identifying, educating and addressing relevant issues that are important to the diverse populations in the district. EDAC advocates sensitivity toward cultural diversity, development of cultural competence within the profession and promotion of athletic trainers as leaders in issues related to cultural competence and professional diversity within the health care professions.
PAY IT FORWARD Membership Grant (Given by District 2)
The ‘Pay it Forward’ grant was initiated to provide membership incentive grants for ethnically diverse young professionals who enter employment in the District 2 service area. This grant is designed to identity a pool of ethnically diverse professionals who, in the future could assume leadership roles and responsibilities in District 2 and the NATA.
